Effective immediately, if you sell consumer products that contain button cell or coin batteries you must provide the following documents to ensure compliance:

Proof of compliance with Underwriters Laboratories 4200A (UL4200A) from an ISO 17025-approved lab
General Certificate of Conformity that lists compliance with UL4200A
Previously, Reese’s Law only applied to button cell or coin batteries themselves. In the interest of safety, the law now applies to the batteries and all consumer products that contain them.

We will suppress listings if valid compliance documents are not provided.

Our updated Add Products listing tool helps you search for products already listed for sale in store in bulk and add up to 500 offers with minimal details required. It’s part of our efforts to offer you a faster and more intuitive listing experience.

Previously, you could only use the Add Products tool to search for a single product using identifiers, such as its name, UPC, EAN, ISBN or ASIN.

Now, you can search for multiple products at the same time with the following options:
Add Products: Search for up to 20 products and add information, such as price and quantity to submit your offers in one go in Seller Central.

Add Products via Upload: Search for up to 500 products and generate a pre-filled excel template. Once you add information, such as price and quantity, you can use the spreadsheet to quickly list offers using Bulk uploads.

In the coming weeks, Cross-border e-commerce will roll out generative artificial intelligence capabilities that will allow you to create high-quality product listings that are automatically tailored to Cross-border e-commerce’s store based on your direct-to-consumer website.

Already, more than 100,000 of you have used one or more of our new generative AI tools since we announced them last fall. These tools allow you to create product titles, descriptions, and other product details from product images, or just a few descriptive words. As we expand our generative AI features, you’ll have access to features that use listings from your website to create a listing for Cross-border e-commerce’s store with the details that customers want.

Our generative AI tools are constantly learning and evolving, and we’re actively developing powerful new capabilities to make generated listings more effective and make it even easier for you to list products.
